1. What we collect

Account: your email address and hashed access codes. We use passwordless sign-in, so we never store a password for you. Course activity: lesson progress, quiz scores, review history, language and theme preferences, and a device identifier that enforces the one-device rule. Fleet accounts: company name, manager contact, driver roster, and — with the driver's consent given at joining — short voice-practice recordings so employers can verify training. Purchases: handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number. Stripe shares with us only the last four digits, card fingerprint, and billing status.

2. What we deliberately do NOT do

We do not sell or rent personal information. We run no advertising trackers — our visitor analytics are self-hosted on our own server and shared with no analytics company. We do not collect data from children; the service is for working adults.

3. AI features and processing

When you use the spoken AI interview or pronunciation feedback, your voice audio and responses are processed by our AI providers — OpenAI (speech-to-text, text-to-speech) and Anthropic (the AI officer) — under their API terms, which do not permit training on this data. Practice audio in fleet accounts is stored so your employer can review it; leaving a fleet erases your fleet data and recordings.

4. Who processes data for us

Stripe (payments), Neon (database), Vercel (hosting and content delivery), OpenAI and Anthropic (AI features, as above), and Resend (transactional email). Each receives only what its function requires.

5. Retention and deletion

Account and progress data are kept while your account is active. Backups are encrypted and retained for 14 days. Leaving a fleet erases your fleet profile and recordings. To delete your account and personal data entirely, email support@cdlels.com — we honor verified requests within 30 days, keeping only what tax and payment law requires (purchase records).

6. Security

Encrypted connections everywhere; passwordless authentication; hashed codes; per-tenant isolation between fleet accounts; rate limiting; encrypted off-site backups; payment data isolated at Stripe. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your personal information we will notify you as applicable law requires.

7. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, correct it, or delete it (Section 5). We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising privacy rights. Residents of states with privacy statutes (e.g., California) may have additional rights; the practices above already exceed most of them because we do not sell or share data for advertising.

8. Changes and contact

Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Privacy questions and requests: support@cdlels.com.
